MicroLok LED Colorlight Simulator
MicroLok LED Colorlight Simulator
The MicroLok LED Colorlight Simulator was designed for use in test environments—both lab and bungalow—to simulate the current draw of a Hitachi Rail STS LED Colorlight Signal (USA), formerly Ansaldo STS USA. The MicroLok LED Colorlight Simulator should only be used to simulate Hitachi Rail STS LED Colorlight Signals controlled by either:
MicroLok II system containing an LED 12 board
MicroLok Object Controller (MOC)
NOTE: If your configuration does not contain 1) a MicroLok II system with an LED 12 board or 2) MicroLok Object Controller (MOC), please purchase the Universal Colorlight Simulator, which simulates both incandescent and LED signals, besides the Hitachi Rail STS LED Colorlight Signal.
QuEST Part Number (QPN): 800-100004-0000
The MicroLok LED Colorlight Simulator is designed to be mounted on AAR terminal strips.
WARNING: The heatsink plate and resistors will be hot when signals are lit.
Instructions for Use
The Lamp indicator will be lit only when lamp voltage is applied to the corresponding terminal and the associated switch is in the "UP" position. To simulate a healthy Lamp signal, the switch must be in the "UP" position. Switches in the "DOWN" position break the circuit to the load and check pulse circuitry, which simulates a light-out condition.

Lamp Outputs from Lamp Driver | Terminals 1–6 |
Lamp Common | COM Terminals |
NOTE: The MicroLok LED Colorlight Simulator provides two different COM connections. COM1 and COM2 are normally isolated from one another but can be combined into COM2 by removing the solder short JMP1 and adding solder short JMP2.
- Terminals 1, 2, & 3 are referenced to COM1
- Terminals 4, 5, & 6 are referenced to COM2
